The historical British Challenge Rallye (“BCR”) was a yearly event that pitted the best of the British cars and car clubs in the region against each other. It was resurrected in 2019, put on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, and run again in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

In 2019, the Jaguar Team won. The Austin-Healey Sports & Touring Club reclaimed the trophy in 2022, only to lose it to the Triumph club in 2023 and 2024.

All area British car clubs are invited to compete for the coveted Challenge Cup as the rally returns on Saturday, June 21, 2025. To win, a club must have at least three teams (driver and navigator) entered — the top three scores from each club will be averaged to determine who takes home the trophy.

The BCR is a fun and easy gimmick rallye (scavenger hunt) suitable for rallye goers of all levels. You will traverse through the beautiful Hunterdon County area of New Jersey, starting in Bridgewater and ending in Flemington.

The event will be limited to 30 cars, so register early. All cars are welcome but additional points will be given for British cars. You must be affiliated with a British car club to participate.
